Difficult to designate, the music of Hélène Vogelsinger might be better discovered than described. Across its six tracks of synthesized invention her Ethereal Dissolution (39:55) provides a succession of potent, beautifully crafted zones comprised of plugged-in charged sounds and wondrous electrical atmospheres. With the rumbling motor of creativity driving the creative engine modular circuits hum, thrum and glow. Sonic dimensions ascend in spiraling sequencer power to blossom and flourish amid an impeccable swirl of echoing notes - then retreat back into the shadows of nowhere. Throughout Ethereal Dissolution interlocking tone assemblies cycle through light and dark designs, as intriguing moods expand, flare and conspire to send the imagination into heightened realms. With its interlocking arpeggio patterns cascading outward, while further in an ethereal vocal confers a seraphic certainty, this release shows a masterful construction throughout its run. Hovering above the subtleties and intricacies of patch cord routings and device dial settings this album's bliss expands past the magic sparks of its maker and well out into the air, where the listener may become a temporary holder.
