Jeff Cain & Nick Tannen 08.06.23
Space Camp 2023Jeff Cain & Nick Tannen Jeff Cain may be best known for his work in the Philadelphia based innovative music duo The Ghostwriters. Authoring several atmospheric masterpiece recordings and live performances, these early realizations were unhindered, true expressions between collaborators. Forty years later Cain has returned to music. His performance at The Gatherings Concert Series on 13 May 2023 with fellow Ambient Musician Nick Tannen was distinguished by elegance and tenderness. Their adventurous explorations were delivered as if in intimate, personal touch with the listener. Opening a rare space for peace, thought and warmth, their music is as powerfully effective as instrumental storytelling gets - flowing with the solemn, blissful insistence of life itself.

Jeff Cain + Nick Tannen make their STAR'S END debut on the broadcast of 6 August 2023, as part of Space Camp 2023. Please tune in for details and/or stream live on Youtube.

subtractiveLAD 08.13.23
The Second FoundationStephen Hummel Stephen Hummel has had great success releasing a diverse range of music under the name subtractiveLAD. Traversing the New Age, Ambient, Techno and Spacemusic realms his works harness technology in service to honest expression. For this STAR'S END commission Hummel created a completely new work meant to transpire over the course of an entire 60 minute program segment. Pondering an ambitious, log-form, sequencer-based project for years, Hummel realizes fully his ambition in The Second Foundation (aired 08.13.23)

Palancar 08.20.23
Grand Tour of the PleiadesDarrell Burgan From Prog sparked bluster to glossy New Age sonics of space and romance, to the propulsive rhythms, shifting harmonies and conquering melodies of a more galactic drama, the distinct and diverse work of Darrell Burgan courses across an inclusive growth mindset, and on into the interstellar realm. Recording as Palancar he has produced an enthusiastic realization in ten movements for the STAR'S END Space Camp commission. His Grand Tour of the Pleiades is an imaginative jaunt to the stars (aired 08.20.23)

Neil Cippon 08.27.23
FoundationNeil Cippon Philadelphia based multi-instrumentalist Neil Cippon explores the ambient atmospheres possible with his six string electric bass. Using various pedals, filters, loopers and delays combined with synthesizer textures and Berlin-School sequencing, his soundscapes send the listener in an outward direction along an arc of original sounds, designs and moods.

Cippon's live-to-air set from Space Camp 2022, released as Live on Star's End 08.28.2022, began with a few studio sketches meant as first steps into the Spacemusic genre. Finding his footing straight away these initial recordings proved to be well-formed substructures of discovery upon which Cippon continues to build his uniquely potent ethereal music.

The Foundation Sessions is comprised of the four tracks from the new album Foundation - which compiles Cippon's first foray into Innovative Music, mixed and extended especially for STAR'S END Space Camp 2023
